quantum-bit 0.01
Temp version for gamejam.
Since I have spend most of the gamejam learning godot I did put very little time and effort in the demo specifically up until now. it might be updated in the future.
ABOUT(on some parts asumes the planned game, the game online here is more of a whitebox mini demo of a very specific dynamic).
Controlls:
WASD, or arrow keys for movement, CRTL for sprint, SPACE for jump.
QUANTUM_BIT mechanics/controlls:
there are 8 bits which are used to control specific elements of the game, eventually you might have more than you have bits to store them in, however you can customize the order and selected commands from the menu.
Current default bit settings:
1th: allow movement
2th: Move left(0) or right(1)
3th: sprint
4th: jump
the bits have 3 main states: 1,0, and - 1 is on/enable in general, 0 is off/disable, - is quantum/free state, this state can be both of the others and more.
you can set the bits by typing/pressing the 1,0,and/or - buttons,
after typing 8 bits the byte is automatically activated.
you can also manually press enter to send the current bits, all non filled bits will be -.
Story
Short version: mc has device/tallent(mod) to program the world around it
Basic: Humans did what they do best, so basically everything is dead or gone due to the destruction of nature and pollution of the earth, as well as some darker technologies created driven by greed. Humanity has sought for very long to find a solution, scientists, and scholars spend the remains of their lives to try and figure it out. however it all failed and the world dies. the main character is one of the last surviving things on the planet due to some factors including "luck", skill, and being experimentally bio-modded before it happened, this in the form of genetic and minor robotics.
alive however greatly alone, eventually this creature gives up on the conventional methods, and almost gets insane due to the inside fear, or logical reasoning telling it wouldn't be possible. the creature eventually partly due to being near its mental breaking point starts to try the things that first seemed impossible, or fake.
after finding traces of a old hobby inventor/scientist the creature finds what's left of it's old home and works, and there it finds that this person had the solution all this time, but this person's voice was silenced by the general society. in these inventions and researches the main character eventually finds documents about a old computer design by that inventor, this was a better, simpler, smaller computer similar to a quantum computer, called the R-type computer. the documents however started simple but as the creature reads them it notices that the later they where written the more complex and broad they got, and how many other inventions got linked to one same principle: the R-type. this method was usable as a single understanding for all existence, and the r-type computer could simulate it all. in the inventors notes it starts to speak about the magic of everything, how strange things happen, how specific people or creatures are capable of doing or causing such things, and some in-depth analyses about how they worked, the maincharacter finds a design for a strange device and how to learn to use it to change all about reality, how to make all the "impossible" true/possible, how to change what is already set. the maincharacter attempts to build the device inside of itself, however finds something that makes it realize a device somewhat similar to it had always been inside it's body. now this old primitive system, is awoken, interfaced and empowered by the new device, the creature needs to learn to use it in it's new way of seeing reality to find the solutions to prevent it's own downfall, and to attempt to heal and revive what is already dead.
Wrote this weird so you can fill in the characters for yourself, while I clearly know what the character are actually like, this description is not the propper full/normal story, so for now it is not important for most. lets just say I left it in the R-mode(ghosting mode)
